Network Rail's Cannon Street Station

 

The concourse and entrance areas of the station were completely reconstructed  to provide increased and easily accessible concourse serving the seven retained platforms. The ticket office, back of house facilites and station retail facilities were also totally rebuilt.

 

The air rights building above allowed the station soffit to be raised to provide a light and airy enviromnent for passengers with much improved access on to Cannon Street. This required the construction of the oversite deck during night-time possessions, threading 21 metre long structural steel beams through the concourse and over the platforms and tracks.
